according to one of its former residents, San Blas is site
to the original Jungle Tour. The person who designed the "Jungle
Tour" ride in Disneyland was inspired by a "real, live one"
in San Blas. San Blas is a lush, tropical setting on the Pacific
coast, just north of Bandaras Bay. Although well-known for
its peacefulness and tropical beauty, San Blas is not yet
a busy tourist center. Despite the slightly-annoying "jejene"

bugs in summer, San Blas is a great local for fishing, watersports
such as sailing and surfing, and for bird watching, especially
since more than 300 varieties of birds arrive in the neighboring
town of Singaita (3 km from San Blas) every November and
December. Located in the neighboring state of Nayarit, San
Blas is 257 km south of Mazatlán on Hwy 15, then 35 km west
to San Blas
