Because of a shutdown of major gather-
ing places for a week in May, performing arts events that were to take place then had to be moved to the June calendar when usually nothing much is happening. This means that visitors this month will be treated to some extra special entertainment of both the free and the paid-for variety.
Notable examples include a performance by the Russian National Ballet, presenting what they call “Jewels” - vignettes from their repertoire - and a performance by the Sinaloa Opera and Symphony Orchestra of the Arts of the operetta “The Merry Widow.”
Also this month the Mazatlán Art Museum, in addition to the opening of two exhibitions in its galleries, is celebrating its fourth annual Youth Festival with several concerts out on Calle Venustiano Carranza, the street in front of their building (corner of Sixto Osuna).
As usual, we mention that the calendar below contains the information available at the Pacific Pearl’s deadline.
The program is subject to change for various reasons, including the weather for outdoors events.
