The Pacific Pearl Backpack Program, in association with the Mazatlán Lions Club, is busily collecting and sorting school backpacks (mochilas in Spanish) and supplies donated by you, our readers, for the coming academic year. In August we handed over 120 backpacks to the Lions Club, over double the amount of last year´s total of 50. Despite your wonderful generosity, there are
still many children
who will attend school without supplies. It is not too late to give a
helping hand to the less fortunate students in our city. Just drop off
your donations at our office and we will ensure the kids receive them.
