Romance is alive in Mazatlán, and no more so than on Valentine´s Day February 14th, or as it is called in Mexico, “Day of Love and Friendship.” To help you and your loved one celebrate, here are ten romantic things to do to make this day one to remember for years to come: 1. plan a sunset wedding in the charming small chapel on a hill overlooking the Sierra Madres at Hacienda Los Moras 2. hire a wandering minstrel group to serenade your sweetheart with the classic Mexican love song “Solamente una Vez” (Only one Time) 3. begin the evening with a sunset drink on the roof of the Hotel Freeman in Olas Altas, then walk the cobblestone streets of Centro Historico to the Plazuela Machado for a meal in the romantic ambiance of the Plazuela´s soft lighting 4. hire a pulmonia for a sunset tour of the lookouts at Icebox Hill and the Mirador.
