SINALOA FESTIVAL
By Jackie Peterson

There’s a little bit of every thing from tango to classical ballet to timeless rocking blues on the menu for the Fifth Annual Sinaloa Festival of the Arts, an October tradition. During the latter half of the month, internationally renowned concert artists will be traveling throughout the state, presenting shows in the major population centers. Mazatlán, with its historic Angela Peralta Theater, will play host to a complete schedule of festival events. Final details were yet to be hammered out, but the tentative calendar was announced at the Pacific Pearl’s deadline. Almost all the performances will be presented in the Angela Peralta Theater at 8:00 p.m. on their respective dates unless otherwise noted. Almost all require reserved-seat tickets, while two or three are admission free. You can check for any program changes and purchase tickets at the box office to the right of the theater entrance on Calle Carnaval near Constitu-cion.
