Following a hugely successful first run in 1999, the Pacifico Grand Marathon will hold its second annual event in December, 2000. Although a challenge to exceed, the organizing committee and Pacifico brewery plan for an even better event this year. The first annual Pacifico Grand Marathon received favorable international attention. Both Runner's World and the Mexican Olympic Committee ranked it as one of the 15 best international events. Everyone who was here during last year's race know what a big deal this event was (the blue lines painted on the road are still a reminder for many of us). More than 3,000 competitors travelled from 18 countries all over the world to participate and more than 100,000 spectators showed up to show their support.
