Are we in the Boom?
|
|
|
|
Is Mazatlán witnessing a boom? If so, how long will
it last? Will the city take the course of Puerto Vallarta or Cabo
San Lucas or will Mazatlan’s path be unique? We’ve seen a lot of
new people, new businesses, and new developments in the area. These
are good signs. Also, the new roads from Durango and Tepic should
be finished within a reasonable time. The completion of these roads
should bring even more business and excitement to Mazatlan.
|
| |
| Because Mazatlán is primarily a middle income earning
economy versus Vallarta‘s and Cabo’s higher income levels and relatively
“new” tourist town status, and because Mazatlán has long been a more
commercial market oriented town, I believe that Mazatlán will enjoy
a healthy and fruitful boom for many years to come. |

After speaking with most of our real estate advertisers,
we learned that they are very pleased with the way the market is
going. North of town there will be two new golf courses ready in
about 18 – 24 months to accompany the El Cid and Estrella del Mar
golf courses.

We at the Pearl believe that health is important
and while living abroad it can be challenging to know where to get
the best care. Starting in the fall editions we will be publishing
a new “Health Corner” with information on new health practices and
technology, making healthy choices and tips on medical care by professionals
in Mazatlán.

I’d like to personally wish everyone a fun summer
whether you are going abroad or staying in Mazatlan!. Stay cool,
hydrated and swing by the Pacific Pearl´s office if you have any
comments, suggestions or just want to chat with us!
