The Night Before Christmas (Mazatlán Style)
Es el noche antes de Navidad
And all through the casa
No one is moving
Caramba! Que pasa??
Les stockings are hanging
Con mucho cuidado
In hopes that San Nicholas
Will feel muy obligado
To leave a few cosas alli y aqui
|
For Chico and Chica and Something for me.
|
|
Los Niños are snuggled
|
All safe in their camas,
Some with camisas
And some with pyjamas.
Their little cabezas are full of
Buenas things
Todos esperan que Santa
Will bring.
Mamá has been busy
Para muchos dias,
Preparing the masa
For all the Tortillas.
Entonches up on the rooftop
We heard mucho noise
It was Santa con toys
For good girls and boys.
He came down the chimenea
While his burros would wait,
To take Santa onward….
He couldn´t be late.
He laid out some toys
And ropas for all
Then jumped in his sled
(I thought he would fall.)
Decir him yell out
As he drove out of sight
“Feliz Navidad a todos y
A todos goodnight!”
(in memory of Kittie Jepsen)
